Lisa Dewey is a clinically certified Hypnotherapist with a private practice in North Hollywood. She is currently a Development Consultant for Smock Media Holdings “Mindful Editor” program, where she uses meditation and hypnosis to help transform the way documentary filmmakers and editors work and tell stories.
Her foundation for healing work began in 2010 while she was working for Shakti Rising, a San Diego-based nonprofit that specializes in women’s leadership development, education, and recovery. Lisa was a lead event organizer for TEDx America’s Finest City and TEDxAFCWomen in San Diego from 2011 to 2015. Since 2013 Lisa has also led several departments for the San Diego Collaborative Arts Project‘s annual transformational festival.
Lisa finished her clinical training at the HCH Institute, in Lafayette, CA and opened her private practice in 2016. Lisa has an advanced certificate in Past Life Regression Therapy, Advanced Pranic Healing, and Pranic Psychotherapy. She is certified in Foundations of Motivational Interviewing (MI) for behavioral health and clinical supervision and completed 80 hours of Cultural Competency Training Community Alliance for ClAS ONTRACK Program. She has a BA in Social Science from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, CA. In total Lisa has completed over 400 hours of Hypnotherapy sessions with a variety of clients.
Hypnosis has been one of the most impactful things Lisa has done with regard to her own healing journey. Her passion for it comes from seeing the shifts, it has created in her own life and the lives of those around her.
